NOAA Recognizes IAP Team Members at MacDill AFB
Cape Canaveral, FL — The Director of the Marine and Aviation Operation Operations Centers for the National Oceanographic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) recognized four IAP members of MacDill’s Environmental Flight team for their support to the Aircraft Operations Center (AOC) in achieving the Department of Commerce environmental goals.
The IAP team was presented with the United States Department of Commerce Energy & Environmental Stewardship Award for their support, guidance, and leadership in the fields of hazardous material management, hazardous waste management, solid waste diversion and general environmental awareness and compliance.
“The relationship between the MacDill Environmental Flight and the AOC is indicative of the cooperation required between the U.S. Air Force 6th Air Mobility Wing and its mission partners to ensure environmental quality, compliance, and sustainability across the base,” said Project Manager Rick Sloop.
