IAP Wins Power Contract in Afghanistan
Cape Canaveral, FL – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers awarded IAP Worldwide Services, Inc. a contract valued at approximately $17 million to provide permanent reliable power at Forward Operating Base Dwyer in the Helmand Province of Afghanistan.
The work consists of the provision of a leased centralized modular 5mW Continuous Power Plant including the transporting, installation, operation, and maintenance of the Power Plant. The contract also includes the construction and operation and maintenance and repair of the Distribution System for the Forward Operating Base. It is expected to be completed May 1, 2011.
