IAP Team Honored With Safety Award
Cape Canaveral, FL—The IAP facilities maintenance team at the NASA Ames Research Center has been awarded the 2010 Safety Excellence Award – the only contractor at the facility in Moffett Field, CA, to garner a safety award this year from the Ames Contractor Council.
“We are pleased that our team was recognized for their commitment to ensuring that IAP’s safety standards and procedures are strictly followed by all IAP employees and subcontractors at the project,” said Dave Jackson, Vice President of Base Operations Support Services. “And we are especially proud that the award is a peer-review honor from IAP’s fellow contractors at NASA Ames.”
Formed more than 20 years ago, the Contractor Council’s mission is to improve productivity and enhance the Quality of contractor services and products on-site at the California NASA facility.
As the facilities maintenance services provider at Ames for more than 10 years, IAP responds to trouble calls, schedules and performs preventative maintenance, provides maintenance engineering services and responds to customer needs during adverse weather conditions. The award comes as the project continues to build on an incident and injury-free work record of more than 500 days.
