IAP Hosts DC Golf Tournament to Benefit Wounded Warriors
Cape Canaveral, FL — IAP Worldwide Services will host its 2012 Metro DC Golf Tournament on Friday, September 21, 2012, at the internationally acclaimed Renditions Course in Davidsonville, MD. This year’s tournament will feature 80 golfers competing in teams comprised of IAP employees, their business partners, and Wounded Warriors stationed at nearby Walter Reed National Military Medical Center. All proceeds from this worthwhile event will benefit Operation Second Chance, a local nonprofit organization which supports wounded Service members and their families during their recovery.
Cindy McGrew, founder of Operation Second Chance and this year’s honorary tournament Chairwoman, will officiate the team competition which tees off at 2:00 p.m. following a pre-tournament luncheon in the Renditions clubhouse. Tournament competition committee members who will assist Ms. McGrew, include employee volunteers from IAP projects located in Maryland, Virginia, and the District of Columbia. In addition to the team championship Eagle trophy, golfers will compete for individual prizes in the closest to the pin, longest drive, and putting contests.
The Renditions course is located in nearby historic Annapolis and features re-creations of historic golfing venues such as ‘Amen Corner’ at Augusta National Golf Club.
